The girls have reached two months in age. Attached are some recent photos. They are doing really well.
So, what is new? Arthur and I are still playing with two soccer teams. One in Ft. Worth (Division 3) and the other in Arlington (Division 2). We had a forfeit win yesterday on the former, and no have an even win-loss record. The latter we haven’t one a single game yet. Our family also acquired a 2009 Honda Odyssey, so Tammy no longer has her Toyota.
They were able to come home Thursday. Routine doctor appointment at 8AM Friday, so things are moving very fast. My first thought was probably the correct thought: they are identical. I’m 99% certain of this. So far, they seem to sleep very well and don’t really cry very much. I’ve given up on Google/Youtube to host a decent looking video, so I’ve created my own here. Still doesn’t look all that great, but better than I was getting with the Gtube. So, here’s a flash video and I’ve added more pictures to the blog entry below this one.

On January 29th our family welcomed the arrival of two twin girls Olivia and Rachel. They were born early, so have had to endure an extended hospital stay. The most recent good news is that they are coming home this week, on Thursday. Both girls weighed very close to each other, with Olivia being over 5lbs and Rachel being just under 5lbs. I am somewhat confident that they are identical, but we’re still in a wait-and-see mode. I am posting some of the most recent photos, from the 6th.
What an interesting site? I’m really surprised my sister hasn’t stumpled upon this one. I’m certain it will make a bee-line for her bookmarks. I could post these images all day, but they’re already on that site. Funny stuff. This is the kind of site that furnishes building blocks of images for a blog.
New Sonogram Photos of the Girls

Well, we’re expecting twin girls. Will very likely not know until birth as to whether they are identical or fraternal. Here are some sonogram/3D images from Tammy’s last visit. The last picture is looking top-down onto their heads. So far, everything is going real smooth.
Roughly one year later, and I’m back to this blog. The company I work for is looking to possibly set up their own blog, and I recommended Wordpress given its exposure, license, and massive extensions (widgets/plugins). Then I remembered I had my own, and decided to come back to it. I hope to update it much more frequently than I have in the past, given all of the life changes that are on their way. First the big news: our second pregnancy is yielding not one, but two children. Two twin girls to be exact (don’t yet know as to the fraternal status or not), and we expect the arrival in mid-spring.
So, updates. We had two birthdays celebrated in September and October, for my niece and nephew Jessica and Michael.

Soccer season has started and Arthur and I have joined a new team in Arlington, named Chelsea. This is a more competitive team than last time, so the expectations are elevated (in other words, I’m a bench player). But for me Volleyball has always been numero uno, and soccer will always be second or third to that. As of this post we are tied for first place with a 2-1 record, and are playing one of the other first place teams this evening at 9PM. The official Arlington web site contains schedule and standings information, and we’ve also set up a team web site using ccleague.
Also, my dad finally got rid of the piano he’s had for as long as I can remember, and has a brand new made-in-Germany piano. This post will be brief as I have to get ready for the evening game. I have added many new plugins to the blog, which will be interested to play with. The blog is integrated with Flickr.com, so picture albums from my Flickr page will be accessible from the side-bar. Also, I have enabled some plugins to make the site load faster, and added a plugin for setting up polls. The following gallery has pictures of Dad’s new piano, birthdays, and Tammy with her new hair cut and pregnancy.

Born October 1st, at HEB Hospital. Welcome to the family! This video clip was created using ffmpeg in Linux, and then the Flash Video Plugin was installed and enabled. Next on the list is to install a plugin for easier inclusion of photos/pictures. So, what is new? My sister Amy got a new cat named Zu. Not much else new. Signed up for an account on Facebook, found an old high school friend. My Tuesday and Thursday night volleyball sessions may be coming to a close, given that no one actively playing is a member of the Church, which has hosted it for many years now. Last weekend I went out to some old stomping grounds in North Richland Hills. They have room for two courts, and the play is very competitive.
Saw a few movies during this time. Hot Fuzz lived up to its hype. Creative film that has a lot of little details that are fun to pick up on. The main character is supposed to be playing the part of Scotty, in the next Star Trek movie (TOS the early years). Zodiac was a long, but engaging film . Recommended. Jonathan has been watching TMNT and Over the Hedge, which he finds pretty entertaining.
Well, this is my first post to a b-log (as Gran would say). Wordpress is talked highly about, we’ll see how it turns out. For now, this is an experiment to see if I can effectively post photos and possibly videos. My first impressions is that it is not very slick for entering batch photos. I’ll include one photo with this blog entry, the rest of the pictures I am (for now) posting here on flickr.com. There are probably some Wordpress plugins that address this issue.
Flickr does offer some third-party apps which can be used for doing easy uploads of a batch of pictures. They even have one that works under Linux called jUploader. Very simple to use, does what you’d expect it to.
I’ll start things with a panoramic I stitched together using hugins. This was on a hike up some mountains in Ruidosa NM.
